What We Do

We are a 501(c)3 not-for-profit, all volunteer organization!

We collect used, not abused, shoes and soccer balls to distribute to children worldwide - Africa, Haiti, Dominican Republic and the United States.

Soles for Kids continues to regularly support this mission with thousands of free shoes delivered annually to the reservation.

Another amazing welcome for this gift to help protect and make safe journeys for students to and from school from our great donor community in America.
Thank you all for your gifts of such good used/usable shoes that arrive on some very needy feet...always free.

2019
We delivered 1,326 pairs of wonderful shoes to Pine Ridge, S.D., Sioux Indian Reservation....free to those who might need a good replacement pair and free for the children going back to school.

From Rich Rosenberg, Chairman:The mission of helping others still remains simple and yet profound.  What can you do with unwanted but usable shoes? Simple give them to us, take a tax donation, and we will put them on some very deserving and needy feet.............. free.  And not in a landfill.

So it's up to all of us. Simply collect children's shoes that no longer fit
or are out of fashion, but still have lots of life, and get them to our collection site at 535 Spring Road in Elmhurst...we 'll do all the rest.

Making a difference in the life of a child has never been simpler.

A gentleman approached me at the office door who had no shoes on.  He was walking around in his stocking feet.  He asked if I had any shoes; I told him I would look... I could not find any shoes in his size but I found some sandals. ...He was delighted to have the sandals. He took his socks off and said he was so glad to have shoes to walk around in or at least something on his feet beside socks. He allowed me to take a picture of his feet so you could see the sandals on his feet.
